Our patient was tired of patch work dentistry. He needed new dental crowns in proper position, length and symmetry. The experts at Scott M. Hannaman, DDS replaced each tooth to provide a beautiful and custom smile!
Sometimes a patient comes in with teeth that are just not fixable without a major financial burden. Dentures can be the right solution, especially if planned in stages with a minimum amount of implants. These teeth were removed and replaced with a denture on the same day.
There are many reasons why your gums may swell. We strive to educate our patients to properly clean with an adequate toothbrush, toothpaste, and flossing routine. Swelling and bleeding are the first steps that leads to bone loss, periodontal disease, and loose teeth. With proper management, we can treat gingivitis at our Lake Charles dentist office.
Often times our patients are brushing daily, but it's easy to get into a routine of not brushing the right areas in the proper way. It is very important to angle the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle towards the roots where the gums are most prone to swelling. A simple change in habits can make the difference in long term health of your teeth.
We hate to see a dental emergency, but when your front tooth breaks, we make sure you have a solution on the same day. This young man fractured his front veneer and we hand sculpted some bonding to get him smiling that day.
Our patient had a history of grinding his teeth. We restored his smile by completing crowns on the broken down teeth to gain form, function, and confidence back.
After braces, our patient still needed two teeth to finish her smile transformation. She decided not to complete implant crowns, so we conservatively placed two crowns retained off the backs of the canine "eye" teeth. This procedure is known as single wing Maryland bridge.
Our patient lost a front tooth. She needed something quick, so a dental bridge was fabricated for the patient to give a natural looking smile.
Over time, due to grinding and acid reflux, our patient had very weak lower front teeth. They were replaced with a fixed lower bridge to provide comfort and esthetics back to his smile. The lower teeth are often seen the most while we talk to each other. Just look next time at your evening news anchor and notice how much the lower teeth show in conversation.
This patient fractured his front two teeth. They were quickly fixed with dental bonding to provide natural shape, size and color that same day.
Our patient was tired of her short teeth next to her front teeth. We simply removed excess gums from those teeth to create a natural length and symmetry in her smile. The procedure does not create much discomfort and healing time is short.
Patient had multiple bondings completed to try and repair her front teeth. She decided to have these two crowns completed in one day with the CEREC technology. These teeth will not fracture nearly as easy as large bonding and create a uniform appearance with the porcelain work.
Having a tooth replaced with a dental implant is a multiple step process, but the results can be very natural that if taken care of, can last a very long time.
Replacing a front tooth can be very challenging. Here the patient elected to have the tooth replaced with an implant and crown.
